Effective 8/1/2024, Scouting America has changed their membership renewal policy to have each Scout, Leader, and Parent renew their memberships directly. Any new member (Scout or Leader) who registers with Scouting America after 8/1/2024, will need to renew 12 months after their renewal date, instead of the end of the year.
Scouts and Leaders who were registered prior to 8/1/2024 will have their membership due on 12/31/2024.
The Current BSA membership fees for our Council (Greater Tampa Bay Area Council) for 2024 is $118. This includes the $85 national fee and $33 for the council’s fee. This is for all Scouts through the age of 20. All the current membership fees are located at this link: GTBAC 2024 Fees
Pack 431 Policy of paying for membership renewals

Pack 431 will renew existing Scouts who are in good standing and have the funds available in their Scout Account prior to their membership renewal date. If a scout does not have enough funds to cover the membership fee, the Unit’s Treasurer will reach out prior the renewal expiration date and inform the parent. The parent will need to renew the scout’s membership directly in order to continue the Scouting program.

Pack 431 Policy of renewing Adult Leaders
Leaders who are in good standing and have completed their position training are eligible for the Pack to renew their BSA Membership fees directly (via Unit Paid). The Pack Committee Chair will reach out to those leaders when their renewal is due.
